Aleyda Kniestedt is an Asset Manager for Worth & Associates and previously served as financial analyst for the company. In this role, she supports the management, structuring, and sourcing of debt financing for Worth’s acquisition and development projects, as well as the refinancing of its existing properties. Kniestedt’s primary responsibilities include:
- Maximizing returns for each of Worth’s properties by analyzing their efficiency and identifying opportunities for performance improvement;
- Managing the analysis, development, and approval of budgets, forecasts, and leases;
- Developing periodic asset management reports for investors, consultants, and other Worth partners;
- Providing financial reporting to financial institutions;
- Offering pre-acquisition input and assistance during the due diligence process, including reviewing financial and operational assumptions, and supporting the origination and negotiation of debt financing;
- Managing post-acquisition activities and integrating assets into Worth’s ownership portfolio.
Before transitioning to commercial real estate finance, Aleyda gained extensive experience in architecture and development in Mexico. She held key positions, collaborating on diverse design and construction projects including high-end residential developments, high-rise penthouses, apartments, car dealerships, a school, and private art galleries. Aleyda led projects from initial design through construction and interior finishing, ensuring attention to both overarching aspects and intricate details. Additionally, she engaged with museums and conservators to manage the preservation, lending, and exhibition of significant art collections.
Kniestedt is currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at San Antonio, pursuing an M.S. in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Development, which she will complete in December 2024. She holds a B.A. in Architecture from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. In 2023, she was recognized as a CREW Scholar (Commercial Real Estate Woman Scholar).
Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Kniestedt relocated to Texas, where she devoted eight years to raising her family before resuming her academic journey to build a career in commercial real estate finance. Deeply passionate about family, art, fitness, hunting, and skiing, she now resides in San Antonio with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys embracing new challenges.
